Every vehicle in the Cubatram fleet has a ramp and step-free boarding, in 14-seat and 24-seat sizes. The fleet is battery-electric and solar-charged, so there is no engine noise and no exhaust — which on an open-air tram matters more than it sounds.
The part that decides the trip: you roll on and stay in your own chair. You are not lifted, the chair is not folded into a boot, and your companion sits beside you rather than across the tram. Mobility scooters board by the same ramp and assistance animals travel free. Habana Vieja's cobblestones and high kerbs are real, so the routes follow the paved perimeter avenues instead of pretending otherwise.
